Job Description
Sankalpa Agro Tech Pvt. Ltd. is a rapidly growing company engaged in agriculture, livestock development, agricultural consultancy, research, national and international partnerships, and agribusiness expansion. To strengthen the company’s legal governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and minimize organizational risk, applications are invited from qualified and experienced Legal Advisors to provide professional legal services on a retainer basis.
Education & Experience
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Must be a licensed Advocate registered with the Nepal Bar Council.
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional legal practice.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate law, commercial law, labor law, taxation, and contract management.
- Excellent legal drafting, documentation, and report writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates possessing the following competencies will be given preference:
- Extensive experience in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, MoUs, Franchise Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), and other legal documents.
- Sound knowledge of the Companies Act, Labour Act, Tax Laws, VAT regulations, and other applicable legal frameworks.
- Experience coordinating with the Office of the Company Registrar, Inland Revenue Department, and other government agencies.
- Practical knowledge of intellectual property rights, trademarks, branding, and legal compliance.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and advisory skills.
- Ability to provide practical legal solutions while safeguarding the organization’s interests.
Key Responsibilities
The selected Legal Advisor shall be responsible for:
- Providing regular legal consultation on all corporate legal matters.
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal agreements, contracts, MoUs, NDAs, franchise agreements, and related documents.
- Advising management on corporate governance, labor law, taxation, VAT, regulatory compliance, and business laws.
- Facilitating legal procedures with the Office of the Company Registrar, Inland Revenue Department, and other regulatory authorities.
- Providing legal advice regarding trademarks, branding, copyrights, and intellectual property protection.
- Identifying legal risks and recommending appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
- Representing and assisting the company in legal matters whenever required.
- Performing other legal advisory services as assigned by the management.
Service Duration & Benefits
- Initial Contract Period: One (1) year, renewable based on satisfactory performance.
- Remuneration: Monthly Retainer Fee plus separate professional fees for special assignments or legal cases, as mutually agreed.
- Working Modality: Regular consultation through office visits (as required), telephone, email, and online communication.
